Planting seeds

I love trees, I’ve always loved trees, especially maples and aspens and birch trees. They have such a graceful presence about them, standing guard over the years and the land they are rooted to. I love depicting trees and their leaves in my artwork, researching the mythology, environmental, medicinal and nutritional benefits they so generously provide. Here are some inspiring quotes that spoke to me about trees. I wonder what words these silent sentinals would say to us if they could speak our language? Instead, I believe it is our obligation and ongoing duty to learn and speak theirs, to better understand our trees and better appreciate, respect and care for them.
