About The Work:
I was inspired to create this artwork by the beautiful scenery in the Riding Mountain Park and surrounding area of Manitoba. While wandering the walking paths I can’t resist slowing down to take photographs of whatever catches my eye, turning a simple walk into a leisurely visual adventure. Both Wild Sarsaparilla and Sweet Cicely grow naturally in the area and are nutritious edible and medicinal plants.
