About The Work:

The butterfly, a symbol of Transformation, survives an impressive process of metamorphosis. She requires us to accept the changes in our lives as naturally as she does. Unquestionably she embraces the changes her environment and body undergoes, and she beckons us to do the same, to keep our faith as we undergo transitions and changes in our own lives. The colors I used in this artwork speak to awakening and learning (yellow-green), clarity and enlightment (yellow), intuition and dreams (violet), creativity and vision (red-violet), integral to the voyage of transformation and rebirth. My Zenworks express my love of pen and ink and a desire to meld symbolism with abstract imagery created through spontaneous strokes and repetitive patterns. Zenworks emerge via a tranquil, meditative process that frees me to explore and experiment with line, shape and colour.

Limited Edition Reproduction Prints (maximum run of 75) of the original Pen and Ink artwork are printed on acid-free fine art paper with a foamcore backmat and enclosed in a protective clear plastic sleeve. A Certificate Of Authenticity is also included.

I scan my original artwork with an Epson Expression 11000XL Graphic Arts flatbed scanner and then print the reproduced image onto acid-free fine art paper using an Epson Stylus Pro 3880 Designer Edition printer with Epson Ultrachrome K3 Archival Inks. Please note that colors may appear slightly different on screen than they do on your limited edition archival print.
