Gardener Of The Forest #11 - Hand-pulled Original Print

$125.00

About The Work:

In Asia and Africa elephants are integral to forest bio-diversity and health. Most tropical forest trees rely on animals to disburse their seeds, and elephant is ultimate at that.  Elephants consuming fruits and dispersing seeds over distant ranges is vital for forest’s ongoing survival.  As gardener of the forest and a matriarchal society, feminine wisdom is rich in elephant’s world.  Known for their altruistic and compassionate treatment of each other and the ability to communicate over vast distances, elephant connects us with universal law of oneness, opening us up to deeper caring for good and betterment of the whole and for future generations.

This original artwork was created by my carving the design into a piece of linoleum, inking the carved lino, placing paper I had pretreated with acrylic paints on top of the inked carved lino plate and then hand-rolling it through a press to both transfer the ink onto the paper from the carved lino and also to achieve an embossed effect.

Artwork Size: 8 x 10 inches matted to fit an 11 x 14 inch standard frame size. Frame is not included.

This is a varied edition limited run of 50 works hand printed on acid-free fine art paper. Each work is unique, matted and enclosed in a protective clear plastic sleeve. A Certificate Of Authenticity is also included.

Please note that colors may appear slightly different on screen than they do in person. Frames are not supplied.
