The Chase #23 - Hand-pulled Original Print
About The Work:
"The Chase" depicts the antics of your typical cat compelled to chase after anything that moves. The influence of my travels to ancient towns and historic places in Europe can be seen in this design which includes the iron grillwork and decorative tile found there. This artwork was created by relief printing onto paper I pretreated with colours and patterns. Relief printing is an ancient printing technique where the artist carves a design into a solid piece of material in this case linoleum. Once the design is complete, the carved lino plate is hand- inked with a roller, paper is placed over top the plate and then pressure applied by hand to transfer the ink to the paper..
Artwork Size: 8 x 10 inches matted to fit an 11 x 14 inch standard frame size. Frame is not included.
This is a varied edition limited run of 50 works hand printed on acid-free fine art paper. Each work is unique, matted and enclosed in a protective clear plastic sleeve. A Certificate Of Authenticity is also included.
Please note that colors may appear slightly different on screen than they do in person. Frames are not supplied.
