Bali Flowers #9 - Hand-pulled Original Print

About The Work:

Bali Flowers #9 was inspired by being in beautiful Bali, Indonesia exploring the spirit of the Arma Museum Resort gardens filled with delicate orchids, ferns, butterflies, and other exotic flowers and plants. I have seldom felt so at peace as in this place.

This is a varied edition hand-pulled original linocut print. Some of the work in this limited run was hand-coloured, while others were made with the application of hand tinted chine colle during the printing process. This artwork was created from a design I carved into a piece of lino. The lino plate was then inked and hand-printed using the back of a spoon to transfer the ink onto the paper. With ones where I applied chine colle, the delicate paper was first brushed with acrylic inks and then dried before applying it with acid-free adhesive onto the inked linoplate for transfer to the work. Other pulls in this run were hand-painted with acrylic inks after the linocut design had been transferred and allowed to completely dry.

Artwork Size: 3.875 x 3.875 inches matted to fit an 8x10in standard frame size.

This is a varied edition limited run of 20 works hand printed on acid-free fine art paper. Each work is matted and enclosed in a protective clear plastic sleeve. A Certificate Of Authenticity is also included.
