Wild Manitoba

I woke up early this morning and decided today was the day to get this bothersome beast out of my studio. I can't believe how much disintegrated jute-backed carpet dust was under this skanky chunk of rug that the previous homeowner left in the basement. I had to relocate studio storage items to access and cut it into manageable chunks for disposal. Which is why I'd been putting this off but the ugly visual of it was distracting and annoying. Three chunks done, just one more piece to deal with under all the heavier studio stuff. I'll wait until me darlin'B is awake before vacuuming. I know this change may be small, but it will improve my creativity. And here's what I've been working on - inking in three linocut designs depicting wild Manitoba edible and medicinal plants.

My joy is creating art from the patterns around me and the visual rhythms of line, shape, colour, contrast. I focus on artwork for smaller living spaces and wearable art for that unique look.
